@fakedansavage: Me and Terry and a piece of paper…

I just wanted to share this, I’m really happy for him and his husband. I’ve read the Savage Love column for years, I only stopped recently due to my inability to pick up my local indie paper that still prints it weekly. It is online though (save some trees).
His column is probably why I didn’t turn out to be a terrible or hateful person towards those of a different orientation. I could’ve learned some bad habits. I started reading his column at the end of middle school. I loved it, every single thing about it was wonderful. It was deeply intimate and yet it was all a mystery. People would tell Dan their most secret issues and he would find a way to help then get through it. Even if it meant he needed to show some ‘tough love’. It’s life affirming and reveals a whole new lifestyle that you might’ve not been able to comprehend or were assuming of such.
You can still read Dan Savage’s column at “The Stranger” Newspaper.
Read it if you’re young or old. It’s worth it to know about people you might’ve not agreed with, approved their way of life, better knowledge of the orientation you are. A great column about the way we love that still lives.

#1reasonwhy

If you are a gamer girl, a woman in the gaming industry, or an inquiring gamer; check out the Twitter search tag #1reasonwhy and find out if sexism and sexual harassment aimed at women “ain’t no such thang”.

It exists, it’s rampant and it grows. Not talking about doesn’t stop the spreading of this disease. Sexism will fester and repeat if no one speaks up about it.

If you’re on Twitter and have a good or bad story related to sexism in gaming or even nerd culture, share it. Today, now!

Do it!

wasikowskas:

let’s talk about how idris elba made his twitter banner align with his dp

There are one of two options explaining this:
1) Idris Elba’s social media team is made up of crazypants geniuses.
2) Idris Elba is our lord and savior.
Either is acceptable.
